We are seeking a highly experienced leader to serve as Manager II, Global Vendor Management, responsible for global vendor operations and governance. This critical role oversees the entire vendor lifecycle—onboarding, management, and offboarding—ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional client service while driving process adoption. The position will lead and develop a small vendor onboarding team within Global Procurement and collaborate closely with business units and firm services, including Finance, InfoSecurity, Privacy, Legal, Technology, and Risk. The ideal candidate combines operational rigor, data-driven execution, and risk-based decision-making with strong situational judgment. Success in this role requires responsiveness, accountability, and emotional intelligence to deliver exceptional client service. Experience in financial, advisory, or technology environments is preferred.
The day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations & Governance
Own the global vendor lifecycle, contract management, and governance within Procurement.
Lead and develop a small vendor onboarding team, fostering accountability and client-service excellence.
Establish and maintain dashboards, reports, and SLAs to drive performance and responsiveness.
Balance day-to-day operational support with strategic project work.
Process Optimization
Drive efficiency, risk mitigation, and scalability through new workflows, tools, and operational processes.
Apply situational triage and data-driven decision-making for complex vendor needs.
Identify and implement opportunities within the vendor lifecycle impacting Accounts Payable and Tax (knowledge of tax, tariff, and customs a plus).
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to scrutinize performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as escalation point and trusted facilitator for vendor lifecycle management, ensuring clarity of process, smooth handoffs, and timely resolutions.
Build trust and alignment across sourcing, purchasing, technology, finance, legal, and risk teams—including information security, privacy, and compliance—to support a risk-based source-to-pay process.
Key collaborator for acquisition-related integrations and associated vendor transitions.
Partner with internal stakeholders—including business units, Legal, Technology, Information Security, Privacy, Finance, and Operations—to understand procurement requirements and drive quality assurance.
Key collaborator working with RFP and audit teams on vendor governance and policies.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory requirements.
Define and maintain vendor governance policies and standards.
Conduct periodic risk assessments of vendor relationships and implement mitigation plans
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and eight to twelve years of experience in vendor or procurement operations.
Ability to work and collaborate during US Eastern Time (ET) hours to align with global stakeholders and business needs.
Proven ability to drive process adoption and operational change.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Experience partnering with finance, legal, risk, and sourcing teams.
People management experience with global leadership.
Background in acquisition integrations and business transitions.
Proficient in source-to-pay workflows, procurement systems, and vendor management tools, with the ability to operationalize, triage, and monitor procurement processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and timely issue resolution.
Demonstrated success in building relationships with influencing senior stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with expertise in interpreting complex data for informed decisions.
Highly proactive and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and drive results independently.
Detail oriented and organized, ensuring accuracy, accountability in all aspects of vendor operations.
