The Position
This is a mid-level position with potential for growth.
The ideal candidate will be a meticulous critical thinker with a keen eye for details and excellent written communication skills. The candidate must work independently at an efficient pace and have some experience performing administrative tasks in a legal or similar professional environment. The candidate must be willing to work US-based business hours.
The candidate filling this position will focus on providing quality assurance review of legal affidavits filed with US bankruptcy courts as a member of KRA’s AOS QA team. The AOS QA team supports KRA’s Consulting and Solicitation Departments, which provide administrative and noticing services to companies seeking chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the US. The candidate will receive training on all relevant tasks, but curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential to success in this role.
The successful candidate will have frequent interaction with senior members of the AOS QA team and other departments within KRA.
This is a hybrid role – the successful candidate will be required to be onsite in Kroll’s Manila office at least two days a week.
The Consultant II will perform the following functions:
Reviewing and revising written affidavits to ensure accuracy, proper formatting and style in accordance with our templates and procedures
Familiarizing oneself with the status and cadence of various chapter 11 bankruptcy cases in order to adequately QA written documents
Reviewing documents containing personal information to confirm data privacy rules are followed
Utilizing Microsoft Excel functions to fulfill certain QA checks
Assisting senior members of the team with managing workflows and assignments to ensure that client deliverables are met
Requirements
A strong understanding of English, including tone and written grammar in a professional setting
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
3-4 years’ experience of demonstrated performance in a legal or other professional office environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Legal or compliance/data privacy background a plus
