Through a combination of in-depth subject matter expertise, global research capabilities and flexible technology tools, the Compliance Risk and Diligence practice of Kroll helps clients take a risk-based approach toward meeting obligations or remediating failures regarding anti-bribery, anti-corruption and related regulatory mandates. These include pre-transactional intelligence; vendor, supplier and distributor due diligence; vendor management platform; leadership/executive vetting; sanctions screening and monitoring; country/industry risk; and bespoke inquiries.

Executive summary:

Our practice produces technology enabled and research analyst compiled reports.  We produce and deliver approximately 75 a day across a global and varied industry-vertical client base.  Research is conducted primarily via on-line source documents in native languages.  Currently, we have between 25 – 30 non-English languages spoken within our research team.  Once analysis and results are compiled all reports are delivered to clients in English.  Most reports are produced by one researcher with the most common reason to assign multiple researchers being the need for proficiency in multiple languages. 

Challenge/Problem statement/assignment:

Our process remains highly manual with a proprietary case assignment and workflow tool assisting throughout much of the process.  As our product, a research report, is easily replicated, our product is almost a commodity. As such we must become more scalable through both automation and process efficiencies to deliver our reports more quickly and less costly. 

Assignment:

We are looking for someone with a process improvement/engineering background, ideally a Six Sigma certification or similar, with experience applying this expertise within a knowledge-based or professional services environment. Extensive experience having driven process efficiencies, introducing scale and automation to improve throughput, and reducing production costs required.

It is estimated that this assignment will be a minimum of 3 months, contractor/consultant will report directly to the General Manager of the business.  The expectation will be for weekly checkpoints and a statement of work to be developed within 4 weeks.  Once this has been developed there will be a goal of providing specific recommendations at the 3-month point. At the 2-month checkpoint, a decision can be made to extend the assignment for one additional month.

The current California and New York hourly rate range for this position is $50 - $94
