  • The primary focus for the successful candidate is the Corporate channel in North America focusing on roles such as General Counsel, other in-house legal teams, Chief Compliance and/or Crime Officer, Internal Audit and Procurement contacts.  Additional targets may vary based on candidate’s existing relationship network.
  • This position is fully remote and supports the Data Insights and Forensics group.
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities with Corporate clients across all of Kroll’s Governance & Risk Advisory solutions including Compliance, Risk & Diligence, Data Insights & Forensics, Expert Services, Financial Services Compliance & Regulation, Forensic Intelligence & Investigations, Restructuring and Security Risk Management. 
  • The role is ideally suited to an individual who has an advisory led approach and can forge trusted client relationships on multiple levels for the long term.
  • This business development role will report directly into the Chief Revenue Office for the Governance & Risk Advisory practice of Kroll.
  • Collaborate with Kroll Managing Directors across multiple service lines to increase exposure and awareness within the corporate/general counsel community.
  • Together with key business stakeholders, such as Managing Directors and the Governance & Risk Advisory Management team, contribute to the development of target plans, identify sales strategies, support the discovery and prioritization of cross-sell opportunities, and outline targeted activities to maximize revenue growth potential.
  • Identify, coordinate and participate in meetings with corporates along with other Kroll colleagues as appropriate.
  • Support national business development outreach initiatives which will require initiating and organizing meetings and phone calls with prospective clients, prepare letters and email, and participate in preparation of prospect-specific collateral.
  • Plan and execute logistical aspects of client networking events, including venue scouting and reservations.
  • Compile presentation/proposal materials – including bios, and publications relevant to the primary target market.
  • Ensure accurate revenue forecasting and pipeline management to facilitate clear reporting of opportunities via Kroll’s CRM system. Leverage Salesforce to manage status updates, priorities and next steps.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Kroll’s suite of products and services to increase the value and adoption of Kroll solutions by our clients and prospects.
  • Maintain a current understanding of competitors’ offerings and industry/market trends.


  • 10+ years of relevant business development work experience selling professional services to primary target markets.
  • Degree from an accredited college/ university, or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Must have proven revenue generation of $1M+ per annum.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and writing skills.
  • Experience working in either litigation funders or consulting / advisory firms is a plus, but not required.
  • Highly motivated, meticulous and energetic individual willing to work within a team structure.
  • Close attention to detail, including comprehensive record keeping regarding all sales activity.
  • Be able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and without supervision but also confer with superiors and seek feedback.
  • Be able to work as part of multiple teams within the business units outlined above.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, executive and at C-suite level.
  • Degrees and advanced degrees, such as an MBA, is a plus.
