RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Summer Intern will develop their research and analytical skills, with the opportunity to carry out the following tasks:

  • Learn the core elements of successful Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM), Executive Protection, Threat Management, Business Continuity/Resilience (BC/BR) and global security from industry leading Kroll practitioners
  • Work directly with the practice’s Chief of Staff & Business Operations to continually refine the practice’s operations, business development initiatives, proposals and client deliverables
  • Assist case managers in carrying out research by using databases, Internet and public domain tools
  • Make necessary updates to Kroll internal sales management software applications, Sales Force and Monday.com
  • Assist threat management, security consulting and business continuity case managers with detailed research, analysis and diligence
  • Write well-structured, logical, and objective reports which present the research in a client focused manner and addresses the clients’ central questions and concerns
  • Keep abreast of current affairs, with consideration for the social media commentary and movements that emerge in response
  • Assist our ongoing pursuit of greatness by identifying the industry’s best hardware, software and technology solutions to then be incorporated into problem solving for our clients. Creative and out-of-box approaches/solutions most welcome – and necessary for success in this role
  • Assist with proactive outreach, thought leadership, brand development and targeted business development campaigns
  • Help advance the practice’s ethical use of artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities
  • Effectively consolidate findings and analysis to case managers in a logical and structured manner, highlighting key issues where necessary and filtering noise in all cases
  • Maintain effective time management to meet internal and client-driven deadlines
  • Organize case files, maintain accurate research records and create succinct and digestible work products for case managers, practice leadership and clients
  • Provide a layer of quality control for client-facing documents throughout the lifecycle of engagements, while leveraging creativity, ingenuity and inventiveness

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Creativity, ingenuity and out-of-box thinking to solve problems an absolute must
  • A background or burning interest in modern security solutions, enterprise security risk management philosophies, protecting people and/or safeguarding assets a plus
  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited university or college. A degree focus on complex problem solving, critical thinking, etc., is preferred but not required.
  • Expected undergraduate graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026 (or currently pursuing Master’s degree)
  • Cumulative GPA of at least 3.2
  • Microsoft Office skills, with proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to work at least 20 hours per week, not exceeding 40
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to master new tasks and quickly develop a basic understanding of industries
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to obtaining outstanding results
  • Strong writing and analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly
  • Experience, focus or minor in business marketing, international affairs, intelligence, national security certainly of interest
