Operations Consulting professionals analyze the financial and operational performance of target companies by reviewing financials, examining operational performance reports, evaluating day-to-day company operations, and conducting interviews with management. 

  • Rapidly understanding a business’s operational strategy and key drivers of profitability from publicly available information and confidential information memorandums (CIMs)
  • Examining company financials to identify cost-line trends, fluctuations, and non-recurring items
  • Analyze financial reports and operations KPIs to determine operational health, diagnose root cause problems, and quantify opportunities for improvement
  • Leverage analysis and operations know-how to provide insight to M&A/Transaction clients
  • Conducting pareto, pivot table, and other analysis to isolate trends in historical data on company purchases, manufacturing labor utilization, logistics/shipments, and inventories
  • Develop and run models that evaluate the business case, i.e. EBITDA, timing, and investment required, for in/outsourcing, automating, or building ecommerce or other operational strategies
  • Assisting clients in identifying pre and post-acquisition transaction issues
  • Managing and contributing to complex areas of the report-writing process


  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in financial or operations analysis
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or other analytical discipline, or an MBA
  • Operations or Financial Due Diligence for private equity and public corporate stakeholders
  • Private equity firm or investment banking or corporate development experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and client relationships skills
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, with focus on Word and Excel
  • Flexibility to travel, as needed
  • Always a sense of urgency
