We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Operations who is excited to take up new challenges to join our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team in Mumbai, India. You will work in an ever-changing environment where every day brings ambiguously defined problems, new challenges, and new opportunities.

The Senior Manager is accountable for the overall operations and administration of a defined set of services within the scope of GBS, creating a culture of transparency, teamwork and high performance. Primary responsibilities are focused on one or more broadly defined core functional areas, such specialized administrative/financial management, spearheading India social engagements, supporting onboarding initiatives, institutionalizing policies, and best practices in direct support of the overall goals and objectives of the GBS.

This position involves regular communication with team members, cross-functional stakeholders, senior management, and external vendors/suppliers. People Management, cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

  • Plan and oversee operational, and administrative projects, and/or services within the designated functional area of focus – for example: onboarding processes, social employee campaigns, real-estate planning, facilities and administrations, compliance etc.
  • Help with examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Analyze problems, interpret operational needs, and develop integrated, creative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders across global locations.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise.
  • Improve and maintain operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Establishes and implements short and long-term operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
  • Provides recommendations to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures within the specified functional area of focus.
  • Project manage the audits for all entities within India to ensure documentations across functions are in order, milestones are met, and corrective and preventive measures are undertaken to address audit observations
  • Regular engagements with HR, Finance and external vendors to conduct compliance health checks and ensure we are compliant to more of the relevant laws.
  • Oversee and coordinate the implementation of the GBS financial budget. This role also requires providing regular updates on the financial status of GBS
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build programs for achievement of key measures
  • Work with Internal Firm Services team to develop, support manage the annual expense budget.
  • Build partnerships with internal and external teams to collaborate and drive measurable improvements
  • Help build a culture where accountability, transparency, open communication, and collaboration are the norm
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant – HR, Finance, Legal etc.
  • Manages and/or provides day-to-day support to various professional, and/or administrative personnel within GBS engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate to the position.
  • Understanding requirements of project and determining the deadlines wherever necessary
  • Suggest and organize team building activities

Preferred Qualification:

  • Graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with people management and operations leadership
  • Experience in a management role in an operations environment and managing cost center
  • Exhibits excellent judgment
  • Experience in building a culture of empowerment, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Proven ability to think strategically, but stay on top of tactical execution
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to make and implement decisions
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word & Excel)
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work without close supervision be self-sufficient at work.
