Kroll Restructuring practice aims to provide effective solutions to its clients. Our clients include major banks, asset based lenders, private equity houses, accountants, solicitors, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, corporates and individuals.  We are tasked with assuming direct responsibility for organisations in distressed situations across virtually every industry and every situation.

We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team within the restructuring practice as Manager, Commercial Operations to be based in London. You are responsible for all business development related activities for the teams based in Bermuda, the Caribbean, London and South Africa. Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager, you will also work closely with the local office’s management team, the broader Kroll Marketing team and collaborate with other service lines in the Kroll business,

Key role and responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and implement marketing and business development initiatives for the regions
  • Develop, implement, monitor and report on the marketing/business development action plan
  • Drive practice development related projects
  • Assist the management team to implement their individual marketing plans
  • Work with the research team to provide the team with regular updates regarding potential new business opportunities, market and industry trends and developments
  • Preparation of pitches, credential decks and engagement letters; and maintaining a record of pitches and experiences
  • Assist and work with the marketing team in the preparation and updating of marketing materials, website content and presentations
  • Identify, assess and coordinate conferences, seminars, forums, sponsorships, speaking and writing opportunities 
  • Organise and manage networking events and seminars
  • Leverage salesforce to manage marketing efforts and pipeline
  • Identify, develop and manage cross-service initiatives within the Kroll business – this may include working with leading directors to identify cross-selling opportunities and to ensure a structured approach to marketing campaigns, client targeting, pitching and events

Key Requirements: 

  • Bachelor degree or higher in marketing, business or related fields
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a professional services firm, preferably in a restructuring related organisation
  • Good business sense and commercial acumen; strong analytical skills
  • Resourceful and technologically savvy (SalesForce, Eloqua, Workfront, Conference tools…)
  • Independent with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Drive and enthusiasm to work and complete assignments under tight scheduling deadlines 
  • Ability to negotiate individual, group and firm-wide needs and interface successfully with multiple levels within the Firm, particularly the Business Development team, professionals, administrative staff and the wider Kroll marketing team. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, excellent proficiency in English, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management
