The Associate Director role will be integral in supporting the practice build out its data analytics capabilities by conducting proactive and reactive analytics of financial data.   The nature of our work will typically require you to work with large datasets from disparate data sources to support fraud and corruption investigations and disputes for our clients covering a range of industries. You’ll achieve this by combining forensic investigation knowledge with advanced data analytics techniques in order to identify relevant financial structured datasets, prepare them for analysis, design and implement appropriate tests across the data and conduct proactive interrogation to identify potentially high risk patterns and trends.

 

Due to the range of cases that you will be involved in across various industry-sectors and country locations, a key interest in global events and markets, with an awareness of working across different cultural and political environments is essential. Due to the global reach of our business, the ability to read and write in a second language is desirable but not critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain consultative relationships with corporates and/or financial institutions to identify and manage risks associated with ‘ESG’ related issues
  • Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the hard and soft law issues faced by investors as they consider ‘ESG’ related issues in a range of markets and sectors
  • Work with clients as they work through the project cycle including pre-transaction ‘responsible business’ due diligence and post event dispute advisory/litigation support
  • Scoping and leading the delivery of analytical work, supporting and guiding junior team members as required
  • Regular interaction with clients to find consultative solutions and win work for Kroll
  • Write well structured, logical and objective reports which present the research in a client focused manner and addresses the clients’ central questions and concerns.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in a reputable corporate, financial services or an investigative/research intensive organisation.
  • Proven qualitative analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to independently query, analyse and interpret intelligence and material from a wide variety of sources
  • A desire to understand business problems and to evaluate the results of your work in a business context
  • Communication skills that you can adapt to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  
  • Ability to drive forward and co-ordinate a number of concurrent projects and tasks, managing competing demands.
  • Intellectually curious and adept at navigating ambiguity.
