We are currently seeking a Manager in London to join Kroll’s Global Communications team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about public relations, experienced with reputation management and crisis PR, has a strong network of media contacts, is collaborative and enjoys juggling a multitude of interesting projects. This position will support Kroll’s global public relations strategy and support management of PR agencies in EMEA. The position will report directly to the Director of Global Communications.

Key Job Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement creative communications strategies and execute on high-impact public relations campaigns that drive increased awareness of the One Kroll brand in EMEA
  • Able to act as an in-house media relations practitioner, including building relationships with key media contacts, pitching, media training, development of key messages, talking points and media statements
  • Manage EMEA PR agency relationships, ensuring that our strategic business priorities are met and that agency activities align with Kroll’s global commercial strategy execution; this includes working with our marketing team to establish, track and measure clear goals and KPIs across different countries where we have agency support
  • Develop a crisis communications plan for proactive and reactive issues and situations in collaboration with key leaders across EMEA and the corporate business; includes providing counsel to senior executives in EMEA on communications-related initiatives/issues
  • Conduct regular risk audits to prepare for any potential situations that could impact the company’s reputation
  • Excellent writer, editor and storyteller; superior verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex information with a varied, thoughtful and creative approach to different audiences
  • Write and edit content for a variety of channels including press announcements, ad-hoc regional executive communications, a regular London City newsletter, whitepapers, FAQs and other internal and external materials
  • Maintain strong working relationships across Kroll’s internal cross-functional teams and executives to identify and generate compelling media stories that make an impact


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 6+ years of public relations or in-house corporate communications experience across a wide range of sectors, including professional services, banking and financial services, law, fintech or risk management
  • Reputation management and Crisis PR experience required
  • Strong media contacts and experience managing PR agencies
  • Self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to connect business objectives to communication strategies
  • Proven writing and editing skills; proficiency in AP Style is a plus!
  • Exceptional project management and time management abilities, must be able to balance demanding workflows and deliver on tight deadlines for complex communications campaigns
  • Positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to network within a highly matrixed global organization and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and evaluate outcomes to improve on future projects and campaigns
  • Experience with PR Tools (Cision, Businesswire)
