Background and objectives
Operating from more than 28 countries and 70 offices, the Kroll Corporate Finance business (formerly known as Duff & Phelps) helps clients realise business goals across M&A, restructuring, financing and other corporate transactions. We have an established, and truly global TAS practice, that has multidisciplinary capabilities across strategic / commercial, financial, tax, operations and IT / cyber due diligence. Our Practice is rapidly growing market share, to become a major challenger to the traditional Big 4 accounting and other consulting firms, at a time of unprecedented regulatory and market upheaval.
We are investing to grow our Strategy & Commercial Diligence capability, especially in the German-speaking markets (preferably located in Frankfurt am Main), to complement our broader TAS capabilities. RESPONSIBILITIES:
As an intern we will integrate you as a fully-fledged team member in our work and you will have the opportunity to gain insight in and contribute to all stages of the project life-cycle. Key responsibilities as an Intern will include:
- Support the team with the execution of strategy and commercial due diligence engagements including primary and secondary research, quantitative analyses and report writing
- Contribute to the development of hypotheses / insights on key issues and actively contribute to the wider team discussion
- Collaborate with project team members – often across disciplines – to flag and address emerging diligence issues
- Work closely with the broader Kroll team to contribute to the application of sound project management principles and quality assurance at all stages and phases of projects
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ambitious, disciplined self-starter; intellectually curious
- Excellent academic track record
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal and client relationships skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel modelling;
- Fluent in German, proficient in English; proficiency in another language, e.g. French, beneficial
- Experience working with diverse teams; and
- Flexibility to travel, as needed
