Our Irish management company (AIFM & UCITS) was launched in 2020 to enhance the group’s European service offering. We are looking for someone to join the firm as a Designated Person for Fund and Operational Risk Management with primary responsibility for overseeing the risk framework for the management company and to support all services offered by the firm to clients.

We are looking for a Designated Person for Fund and Operational Risk Management to:

  • Enhance and oversee the Risk Management Framework for the management company;
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management of risk matters;
  • Ensure the Company and its delegates are operating within the parameters of the Company‘s Risk Framework;
  • Monitor and oversee the Market, Liquidity, and Counterparty risks of the Company’s funds under management;
  • Coordinate initial and on-going due diligence (including site visits) of the Company’s delegates and provide reporting on same to the executive committee and Board;
  • Monitor delegates adherence to agreed performance standards and SLAs;
  • Prepare and present ongoing reporting to the relevant stakeholders (e.g. executive committee, Company board, fund boards, and clients);
  • Coordinate with the Chief Risk Officer to ensure all aspects of the Company’s risk framework are functioning as designed;
  • Manage the on-boarding of new funds and delegates assisting with policies and procedures and carrying out appropriate reviews of the proposed operations;
  • Collaborate with the other Designated Persons to ensure optimal client service;
  • Act as client relationship manager to a select number of clients; and
  • Assist in other Kroll engagements where required.


  • Third level qualification and/or relevant professional qualification;
  • Experience in a similar role which involved oversight of UCITS and/or AIFMD compliant funds;
  • Min 6 years’ experience within a Risk Management related role in Financial Services;
  • Previous PCF approval by Central Bank of Ireland (or equivalent) preferred;
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish regulations with a strong understanding of regulatory obligations & UCITS/AIFM Management;
  • Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise workloads & meet deadline;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to analyse complex issues; and
  • Team player with a proactive attitude towards anticipating emerging risks.
