Kroll’s Regulatory Consulting team in Ireland helps firms deliver on a wide range of professional service engagements. These include matters relating to financial crime, compliance & risk management, regulatory readiness, compliance monitoring and regulatory reporting.

JOB SUMMARY

We seek an experienced and proficient individual with sound analytical thinking to fulfill a key role in a senior team of regulatory consultants. The successful candidate will have substantial AML & financial crime experience in Ireland having worked previously in a senior role in a service provider or as consultant. They will also have a detailed knowledge of money laundering regulations in Ireland, and preferably in the Cayman Islands also, and their application to investment funds.  The candidate will also have effective leadership, communication and relationship management skills and be able to offer considered opinions to support identification of practical solutions. This candidate will manage the AML area of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Act as MLRO, DMLRO and AMLCO for investment funds and present at board meetings
  • Preparation of a variety of AML related reporting including risk assessments, policies & MLRO reports, to a high standard
  • Conducting on-site visits to fund service providers, articulating observations and findings and writing reports for presentation at board level
  • Monitoring AML regulatory developments impacting the funds industry and providing analysis of same to clients
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients with technical queries and responding in a professional and confident manner
  • Reviewing fund documentation including prospectus & policies and procedures as relevant
  • Assisting with all AML related services to clients and providing on-going support to the wider team
  • Build effective client relationships to assist with delivering the team’s strategies
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions both internally and for clients
  • Prepare pitch documents and proposals for potential work
  • Prepare articles and other publications for distribution both internally and externally
  • Engage in business development activity aimed at growing the business
  • Assisting and conducting ad-hoc projects

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • To be passionate, focused, collaborative and entrepreneurial. This role will suit someone who wishes to be autonomous but has the ability to be part of a wider team and use sound initiative and judgement
  • Demonstrable excellent client service and provide prompt practical responses to clients
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a service provider or similar managing an AML area, preparing and reviewing AML reports for board level on behalf of investment funds.
  • Detailed technical knowledge  of AML regulations in Ireland, EU and preferably the Cayman Islands.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and presentational expertise
  • Comfortable and effective working with wide groups of stakeholders, from C-suite to functional heads to operational staff, developing strong stakeholder relationships and presenting to Board level
  • Client facing, solutions focused, individual
  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline together with appropriate postgraduate qualifications
