A Director in the Financial Valuations Group will work on a variety of assignments, including business enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations (PPAs), intellectual property valuations, stock option valuations, impairment testing, transaction valuations, financial instrument valuations, portfolio valuation for alternative asset industry and dispute consulting.
Our India Valuation Services practice helps clients fulfill complex financial reporting and tax requirements by combining technical expertise, mastery of sophisticated valuation methodologies, industry knowledge, objectivity and independence. We closely monitor the regulatory landscape and are deeply involved in the development of valuation industry standards and best practices that impact our clients.
Kroll is looking for a Director who will be involved in providing support to our Indian valuation practice. The opportunity is ideal for professionals who are interested in learning best practices, tools and techniques by working on valuation engagements for our clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Client Interviewing - gathering data pertinent to the engagement
- Model building and reviewing - DCF models, comparable company models, stock option models, financial instrument and complex option models and intangible asset valuation models
- Team management
- Operational relationship management with client
- Building long-term client relationships through exceptional client service including a deep understanding of the client and their needs, exceptional responsiveness, and the delivery of the highest quality service and work product
- Translating exceptional client service skills into new client relationships
- Developing a deep technical strength in business valuation, serving as a firm resource for that expertise and sharing that knowledge through training and mentoring
- Translating deep technical strength into an industry-wide resource through speaking engagements, writing articles and position papers, engagement review, report writing
- Developing and implementing fundamentally sound and technically rigorous procedures and processes for executing unique engagements and developing new products/services
- Managing client engagements from day-to-day interaction with the client through to staffing and managing the resources and work plan through to timely completion, which includes engagement Management and execution, project management and engagement economics.
Essential Traits:
- Minimum of 10 + years of related work experience in Valuations
- Experience to cover the range of assignments listed earlier. A deep understanding of valuation concepts, accounting standards and other standards relevant for valuation will be necessary
- CA, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics or equivalent thereof (e.g., CFA); or MBA from an accredited college/university
- Proven technical skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience including managing and developing client relationships as well as mentoring and developing staff
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking with senior management and in front of an audience
