Pre-elimination diligence to identify risk areas (both on and off balance sheet) requiring resolution ahead of liquidation. For example, preparation of balance sheet rationalisation steps, underpinned by a solid understanding of accounting principles and an awareness of corporate law and tax implications. Administer a portfolio of MVLs and CVLs from cradle-to-grave, ensuring statutory compliance and case progression in line with agreed timetables and budgets. Oversee and review work prepared by junior colleagues including: KYC, fee quotes, engagement letters, liquidation appointment documentation, case reviews, annual progress reports, distribution documentation and final reports. Assume responsibility for client relations and liaise with clients, clients’ employees, agents and solicitors as necessary Provide ad hoc support including input into proposals, statutory compliance, tracking pipeline opportunities and billing management etc. Provide guidance, motivation, mentoring and assistance to the team, assisting them with their training and progression in Kroll and undertake appraisals and other actions as required Adhere to Kroll systems, policy requirements and relevant Health & Safety policy
Strong academic qualifications and accounting experience. An ideal candidate will possess finance relation educational qualifications such as Chartered Accountant, Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Finance MBA At least five years’ experience preparing entities for closure and managing a portfolio of MVLs and CVLs. A sound understanding of relevant insolvency legislation and of statutory and regulatory requirements in respect of the liquidation processes across Scotland, England and Wales, with proven experience. Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and experience collaborating with key stakeholders (i.e. clients, professional advisors, tax authorities). A self-starting team player with a can-do attitude and a problem-solving mind. Good attention to detail, organisational and administrative capabilities with the ability to prioritise effectively. Ability to work well under pressure, deal with ambiguity and meet deadlines. Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in using IPS.
