Forensic Investigation and Intelligence, Associate

We are looking for an experienced Associate to help deliver professional investigative and risk management consulting expertise necessary help Clients taking informed decisions through fact-finding and critical analysis. This role will be part of our Forensic Investigation and Intelligence team in Italy.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Carry out secondary research by utilizing databases, internet and public domain tools focused on Italy, Malta, Greece and Cyprus.
  • Examine and interpret the information obtained to produce in-depth and detail-orientated analysis, identifying further research that needs to be carried out and what leads need to be investigated.
  • Ability to analyze and interrogate large amounts of financial data and present findings coherently using Excel and other related analytical tools.
  • Write well-structured, logical and objective Italian/English-language reports which present the research in a client focused manner and addresses the clients’ central questions and concerns.
  • Effectively feedback the findings and analysis to the Case Manager in a logical and structured manner, identifying potential issues and conflicts of interest identified in the research.
  • Assist Case Managers in using Excel and PowerPoint to provide diagrammatic and pictorial explanations to present key findings and patterns identified in the investigation.

Essential traits:

  • At least 1 year professional experience (or internship) in in the Forensic Investigations and Intelligence field is required.
  • Experience in an audit or consulting role in a professional services firm, an investigative/research organization or a regulatory body is desirable
  • Fluent in Italian and English both spoken and written essential.
  • Fluency in a third European language is desirable, but not essential (Greek is a plus).
  • Strong academic background (financial / economic academic background is an asset)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with proven experience in using Word, Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to convert data and information to produce PowerPoint presentations.
  • Experience in using data visualization tools.
  • An analytical, inquisitive and logical mind.
  • Strong communications skills (upward, downward, across individuals, across cultures, across business lines).
  • A strong team work ethic and excellent people skills that represent diverse communities.
  • Professional certification (or near qualified) such as CFE, ACCA or equivalent is an asset.
