Kroll Business Services (KBS) is seeking a Senior Client Platform Engineer, Team Lead to design, build, and maintain the enterprise forms and integrations platform that powers our client data collection websites.
This is a hands-on technical role with light team leadership. You’ll guide engineers, manage coverage across the APAC region, and personally deliver high-impact work — building and optimizing form-based data collection sites, APIs, and data automations that support multiple business units with daily production deadlines and high service demand.
You’ll thrive here if you enjoy solving problems quickly, balancing engineering precision with operational urgency, and helping shape a maturing SDLC for our web form and integration ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform & Application Engineering
Design, build, and maintain enterprise data collection websites using XML/XSLT-based form technologies and Java frameworks.
Develop reusable form components, validation logic, and transformation pipelines to support consistent, secure deployments.
Implement Java services and APIs (Spring/Struts on Tomcat/JBoss) that integrate client-facing workflows with internal systems.
Build and support REST/SOAP integrations for authentication, schema validation, retries, and version management.
Support enhancements and fixes through daily ticket intake, ensuring SLAs and turnaround expectations are met.
Data Automation & Integrations
Develop and maintain integrations with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, monday.com, and SendGrid.
Operate Databricks Jobs/Workflows (SQL/PySpark, Delta) for data transformation and delivery to reporting environments.
Contribute to reliable Power BI dataset structures and refresh strategies.
Reliability & Operations
Participate in on-call coverage and ensure smooth hand-offs between APAC and North America.
Monitor and improve platform observability — logs, metrics, alerts, and performance dashboards.
Lead root-cause analysis and post-mortem reviews for production incidents.
Leadership & Collaboration
Serve as the senior technical point of contact for the APAC team — mentoring junior engineers, reviewing code, and coordinating workload.
Help formalize and mature SDLC processes for form and integration deployments, improving release quality and repeatability.
Collaborate closely with analysts, QA, and infrastructure to deliver stable, high-quality releases on tight timelines.
Required Skills & Experience
5–8 years of experience in software or platform engineering, including hands-on build and deployment ownership.
Strong proficiency in XML technologies (XSD, XPath, XSLT, XForms-like frameworks).
Java development experience (Spring or Struts) on Tomcat/JBoss.
Experience supporting form-based or data collection web applications in a production environment.
Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs and integration workflows.
Working knowledge of SQL/T-SQL and data transformation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control, and testing frameworks.
Strong troubleshooting, systems thinking, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Databricks, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, monday.com, or SendGrid APIs.
Cloud exposure (AWS or Azure)
Scripting for automation (Python or PowerShell).
Understanding of SDLC and DevOps best practices.
What Success Looks Like
Client data collection websites are stable, efficient, and consistently delivered within SLA.
Daily ticket volume is managed effectively with minimal production disruptions.
The team operates smoothly across APAC and U.S. time zones with reliable coverage.
Deployments follow standardized, repeatable processes with strong QA alignment.
Platform performance, observability, and user satisfaction steadily improve.
