The candidate will join the Issuer Services team based in Germany. Working with investment banks, law firms and restructuring advisors, the team helps to execute liability management exercises and complex restructuring transactions for international corporate and sovereign debt issuers.

Day to day Responsibilities:

Manage corporate actions as an issuer agent including but not exclusively:

  • Review of legal documents and interaction with advisors (no legal qualification required).
  • Establishing corporate actions processes within or outside clearing systems.
  • Detailed financial modelling.
  • Interaction with custodian banks and investment funds.
  • Attending meetings in EMEA.
  • Liaison with and reporting to issuers and investment banks.
  • Settlement coordination and supervision.
  • Employ a proactive approach to improving internal processes, client reports and taking the lead on internal projects.
  • Working closely with other KIS teams.

Relationship Management

  • Representing the Kroll Issuer Services brand globally.
  • Accountable for projects delivery and quality. Be keen to create new relationships and listen to stakeholders’ feedback.
  • Help build track record, and increase visibility with DCM/liability management desks of investment banks and associated law firms.

Essential Traits

  • Fluent in English, (other EMEA languages are a plus).
  • Exceptional level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Excellent understanding and knowledge of fixed income corporate actions.
  • Trade settlement and cash management expertise a plus.
  • At least 5 years’ experience from an asset manager, custodian, fixed income desk or a clearing system.
  • Proficient in Office suite, particularly Excel.
  • Database management and/or web design/development skills and experience.
  • Good understanding of SWIFT.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
