The position will be part of Kroll’s Energy and Infrastructure team based in Mexico City. Analysts in our fast-paced group work on a wide range of assignments, including financial analysis, valuation, market research, benchmarking, M&A support, financial due diligence, financial audits and broader consulting services for companies in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
As an Analyst, you will contribute to complex international projects and support decision-making processes for clients operating across multiple markets. The role offers early exposure to sophisticated analyses and real-world business challenges, allowing you to develop core technical skills while gaining insight into how global energy and infrastructure investments are evaluated, structured and executed.

Day to day activities:
Analysts in our Energy and Infrastructure team are involved in a variety of engagements, including:
Conducting market studies and industry research across energy and infrastructure sectors.
Performing financial analysis and business valuations.
Supporting benchmarking analysis across companies, projects and markets.
Assisting in M&A processes, including financial modeling and transaction support.
Conducting financial audits, including Joint Venture (JV) audits.
Performing financial due diligence on potential investments on transactions.
Supporting business plan design and strategic advisory projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
Analyzing large datasets and financial information efficiently.
Reviewing financial statements and understanding accounting flows and procedures.
Examining supporting documentation, such as invoices, contracts and financial records.
Analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial planning documents.
Conducting research on market conditions and regulatory environments.
Participating in client meetings to gather key financial and operational information.
Executing risk assessments, audit procedures and analytical testing under manger guidance.
Preparing high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations and client materials.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including financial and technical experts.
Essential traits
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering or related fields.
Minimum cumulative GPA of 85.
Strong interest in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Solid understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
Ability to research, gather, organize and analyze data effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (advanced level required).
Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality written materials.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities.
Willingness to travel as required.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in energy, infrastructure or related sectors.
Understanding of financial statements and financial analysis (advanced knowledge preferred).
Familiarity with accounting procedures and financial processes.
Experience with financial modeling or valuation methodologies.
Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA, or similar) are a plus.
