The Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner) within Kroll’s Chief Data Office (CDO) is accountable for the end‑to‑end ownership, delivery, and adoption of enterprise data products. This role serves as the single point of accountability for product vision, stakeholder alignment, roadmap execution, and experience quality across assigned data domains.

The Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner) partners closely with Business stakeholders, Data Engineering, BI/Reporting, Data Science, Governance, and Platform teams to ensure data products are reliable, intuitive, scalable, and aligned with Kroll’s strategic priorities. The role emphasizes clarity of ownership, predictable delivery, and measurable business impact in a complex, enterprise data environment.

The Senior Business Analyst (Product Owner) is a critical enabler of CDO’s product‑led operating model, ensuring that data and analytics investments deliver consistent, trusted, and measurable value to the firm—while reducing dependency on informal workarounds, fragmented ownership, and vendor‑driven execution.

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for product outcomes, delivery health, and user experience.

  • Ensure products operate with clear ownership, release discipline, and lifecycle management, behaving like true products—not one‑off projects.
  • Act as the primary interface between the CDO and business, finance, and functional leaders for assigned domains.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize demand, manage tradeoffs, and align delivery to business timelines.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements without compromising data integrity or architectural standards.
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships that enable fast decision‑making and alignment.
  • Own and maintain a prioritized, well‑defined backlog with clear acceptance criteria and readiness standards.
  • Work with Program Managers, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams to plan releases and manage dependencies.
  • Balance short‑term delivery needs with long‑term product health, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Surface risks, constraints, or scope trade‑offs early to enable leadership decisions.
  • Partner with Data Governance, Data Stewards, and Platform Owners to ensure:
    • Consistent KPI definitions and metric logic
    • Data quality, lineage, and trust standards
    • Alignment with enterprise data architecture and security policies
  • Ensure products meet operational readiness standards prior to release and are supported post‑launch.
  • Drive product adoption by ensuring solutions is intuitive, reliable, and aligned to real user workflows.
  • Define and track usage, adoption, and value realization metrics.
  • Collect feedback and iterate to continuously improve product experience and impact.
  • Support leadership by providing a clear narrative on what is delivered, what value it creates, and what comes next.

Essential Traits:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Data‑centric roles.
  • Proven ability to own roadmaps, backlogs, and stakeholder relationships in a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of data, reporting, analytics, or BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Databricks, data warehouses).
  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models with engineering and analytics teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate between business objectives and technical execution.
  • Experience in a Chief Data Office, Analytics, or Enterprise Reporting organization, is preferred
  • Familiarity with data governance, semantic models, KPI standardization, and self‑service analytics is preferred
  • Experience supporting finance, operations, or enterprise‑wide reporting domains, is preferred
  • Prior experience working in a vendor‑heavy environment and helping transition to more internal ownership, is preferred
