The Manager II – Data Administration role is a senior Bangalore-based delivery leadership position supporting the global Data Administration function across KYC, Loan Data Services, US Tax Administration, and Audit Confirmations. The role is accountable for end-to-end operational ownership, regulatory compliance, risk management, and people leadership for critical data and control functions supporting KATS clients globally.
This position combines large-scale people management (25+ team members) with strong operational governance, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and scalable delivery aligned to region-specific regulatory requirements and client expectations
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Governance:
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction across KYC, Data Services, US Tax Administration, and Audit Confirmation processes delivered from Bangalore for the KATS business.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex operational, regulatory, client, and people-related issues.
Partner closely with business stakeholders, Compliance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and service expectations across regions.
Define and execute operating plans, transformation initiatives, and control enhancements aligned to business growth and scale.
People Management & Leadership
Provide direct people leadership for a Bangalore-based team of 25+ professionals supporting global Data Administration operations.
Operate as a manager-of-managers, leading team leads and managers across multiple processes and service lines.
Own end-to-end people management including hiring, onboarding, performance management, goal setting, career development, succession planning, and retention.
Drive workforce planning, capacity management, and skill development aligned to global business demand, regulatory timelines, and service-level commitments.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, quality, risk ownership, and client service excellence.
KYC & Data Services
Oversee loan static data management across systems (e.g., Loan IQ), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
Ensure effective management of borrower and lender static data, remittance instructions, callbacks, and supporting documentation.
Govern SLAs, turnaround times, and service quality across global and regional client portfolios.
Drive standardization, automation, and control enhancements across data and KYC workflows.
Maintain a zero-tolerance approach to control failures, audit issues, and regulatory breaches.
Engage closely with Compliance, MLRO, and FCC teams on alerts, escalations, and remediation activities.
US Tax Administration & Reporting
Provide leadership oversight for US tax documentation, withholding, and reporting processes as part of the broader global Data Administration remit.
Ensure accurate collection, validation, and maintenance of W-8 and W-9 documentation.
Oversee IRS reporting obligations, including Forms 1099 and 1042, along with related reconciliations.
Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts on tax processes and controls.
Act as a key escalation point for US tax risks, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Stakeholder Management & Delivery Oversight
Serve as the primary delivery leader in Bangalore for global KATS Data, KYC, Tax, and Audit Confirmation operations.
Ensure effective coverage across regions, including appropriate overlap with US and other key business time zones, regulatory deadlines, and client expectations.
Provide regular executive-level updates, dashboards, and MIS reporting to senior stakeholders.
Support client onboarding, portfolio transitions, and complex transaction events across regions.
Work closely with Deal Administration and Loan Servicing teams to align data, tax, and confirmation processes with payment and lifecycle events.
Partner closely with Business Development, Transaction Management, Client Services, Operations, and Technology teams to support growth initiatives, transaction execution, service delivery, and platform enhancements globally.
Lead, mentor, and develop senior managers and large operational teams; build succession pipelines, drive employee engagement and retention, and foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications preferred).
15–18 years of progressive experience in financial services operations, including KYC / AML operations, Loan Data Services or Loan Operations, and US Tax Administration / Withholding & Reporting.
Proven experience leading large, multi-process teams (20+ resources) in a global delivery or offshore model.
Strong knowledge of lending products, agency services, and global regulatory environments.
Demonstrated expertise in risk management, audits, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and people leadership skills
Role Positioning
This role carries the corporate title of Manager II and is positioned as a senior people and delivery leadership role within the Bangalore Global Delivery organization, with direct accountability for supporting and scaling KATS Data Administration operations globally.
