Kroll provides clients with Valuation Advisory Services, Corporate Finance, Governance Risk Investigations & Disputes and Cyber Risk operational support services to the firm’s subsidiaries across the globe.

The Global Machinery & Equipment Valuation (M&E) in India operates as an extension of our global offices and works very closely with their counterparts on diverse nature of valuation engagements across industries.

It is one such vertical of Valuation Service practices, which focuses on valuation of plant machinery & equipment, land, buildings, and other fixed assets. Members of this team hold a technical degree in graduation, postgraduation in technical &/or financial stream, and are members of premium professional institutes such as Institution of Engineers, Institute of Valuers, Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, American Society of Appraisers etc.

Day-to day responsibilities:

  • We are currently looking for candidates who can handle variety of job functions, including but not limited to:
  • Investigating and developing analyses to estimate the cost new and value for tangible assets
  • Delivering accurate, supportable and unbiased valuation conclusions
  • Undertake and manage fixed asset inventories for buildings, machinery and equipment, infrastructure, land, and land improvements.
  • Drafting written reports to communicate our analytical findings to clients
  • Undertake accounting and insurance capital asset valuation, using direct, standard and normal costing techniques with consistency and accuracy.
  • Liaising with clients to understand fixed asset accounting treatment
  • Multitasking on multiple projects at a time
  • Visiting client facilities to inspect and gather technical information about the real property and/or machinery and equipment assets
  • Working individually and/or on multi-person project teams
  • Traveling is required for the position
  • Based in India, but reporting to, and serving clients globally

Essential Traits:

  • Candidate must hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical, etc.) or/ and relevant Post-Graduation from an accredited college or university;
  • 6-9 years Relevant work experience which focuses on valuation of plant machinery & equipment, land, buildings, and other fixed assets valuation
  • Computer proficiency and ability to maximize use of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power point;
  • Should be willing to travel at short notice related to work;
  • Should have valid passport at time of joining;
  • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to master new tasks and industries quickly;
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment;
  • Commitment to achieve outstanding results.
