The SR Data Analyst will work as part of a high functioning Production Operations team, tasked with supporting day to day operations of legal services. Independently define and develop solutions, with minimal direction, for a wide range of technical problems. Participate in team meetings and other collaborations, as well as design and peer reviews. Be flexible; prepared to approach things laterally; able to think outside the box. Interface with business stakeholders, to identify or clarify requirements to address various problems. Customer service centric focus with the business and their clients as the customer has been key to our growing success and leadership in the market.
Note: This position can be remote in the US.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Provide leadership support and guidance for other team members
- Lead business efforts for various client data needs and drive them to completion
- Provide ongoing continuous improvement ideology with the team on existing processes
- Serve as a resource for executing ad-hoc data requests, custom reports, test scenarios, data migration, data analysis and quality assurance testing in a production environment
- Provide expertise and translate the business needs to design; and develop tools, techniques, and metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization
- Seek to establish and implement process improvements at the direction of the department manager
- Responsible for establishing appreciation and adherence to the principles of data quality management, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions
- A highly motivated team player and an organized, strategic thinker who is passionate about data
- Possess exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Be detail and process oriented with demonstrated excellence in accuracy, service delivery, time management and prioritization
Essential traits:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, and 7+ years of experience in processes and standards related to data, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficient with data engineering fundamentals including data extraction, transformation and load using databases with large data volumes
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Commitment to obtaining outstanding results, delivering high quality work with a client centric mindset
- Significant experience in the design, development, and review of complex SQL and/or Python scripts
- Demonstratable technical experience with some of the following:
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, Neo4j
- Scripting and exploration: Python, R, SQL
- Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Data Studio, Spotfire
- Big data: Spark, Hadoop, Blockchain, Data Lakes
- Cloud computing: Azure, AWS
- Experience performing complex data analysis of large datasets
- Experience tuning T-SQL queries
- Experience using source control
- Deep expertise with advanced Excel and data manipulation
- VBA Scripting or similar
- Ability to analyze data to perform data cleansing and data manipulation to assure data is in the correct format
- Ability to understand complex business processes and adapt solutions to meet the needs of the business

Salary range for this role is $100,000 - $115,000 USD
