As the Director of Technology Process Innovation at Kroll Business Services, your primary focus will be on optimizing data engineering processes and ensuring seamless client service technology support. You will be a critical driver of innovation and efficiency in these areas, harnessing the power of technology to enhance our service delivery. Note: This position can be remote in the US.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive process innovation strategy for the Technology department, aligning it with the overall business objectives and goals.
  • Lead efforts to establish and maintain state-of-the-art data engineering practices, including data collection, storage, processing, and analysis, to support our client service initiatives.
  • Assess the current technology landscape, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and digital transformation.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of technology solutions that directly enhance client service delivery, ensuring our technology stack meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Drive innovation in data engineering and client service technology support, identifying opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and client service teams, to ensure technology aligns with client needs and industry standards.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes and workflows, identifying bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for enhancement.
  • Act as a change agent, working closely with stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of process innovation initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and trends related to process improvement and digital transformation.
  • Champion a client-centric mindset within the technology team, ensuring that technology solutions are tailored to meet client requirements effectively and efficiently.

Essential traits:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience, 10+ years, in data engineering, with a track record of leadership and team management.
  • Strong understanding of data management, data analysis, and data architecture.
  • Proficiency with data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, SQL, data integration platforms).
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.

Salary range for this role is $150,000 - $175,000 USD
