As part of the global People function, the People Business Partner II will work with stakeholders within and out with the Philippines to foster a high-performance culture and drive business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for all people-related issues, specifically driving results through ownership and smooth execution of the entire employee lifecycle, including new hire orientation, performance reviews, employee relations, retention strategies and engagement activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with counterparts and leaders within and out with the Philippines to create an effective and proactive People function in country which adds value to the business and helps achieve business objectives.
  • Work with the global people team and CoEs to align, streamline and implement policies. Develop and refine processes.
  • Drive adherence to Human Capital and Company policies and ensure they are up to date.
  • Oversee Mid-Year and Year-End Performance Management process.
  • Responsible for orienting individual employees and conducting exit interviews.
  • Advise leaders as to base pay and incentive compensation adjustments and reviews as required.
  • Assists in providing training and development programs related to Human Capital programs such as the Performance Management Program.
  • Support of Human Capital Initiatives including retention strategies and mentoring.
  • Coach senior management to become more effective leaders.
  • Responds to and properly handles employee relations matters consistent with company policy guidelines.
  • Deal with any people-related issues as they arise and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Hands on experience on Labor Law compliance for entities in Philippines
  • Responsible for smooth delivery of entire employee lifecycle processes in Philippines
  • Provides partnership to the business unit to identify strategies to increase employee engagement through effective communication, policies, and practices.
  • Guiding COEs and other corporate functions with local practices and regulatory requirements while setting up their functional processes in Philippines
  • Drive culture building activities. Take on leadership roles in CSR and social committees.
  • Assist with various Human Capital projects and initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 + years progressive human resources/human capital experience including employee relations.
  • Understanding of Philippines Labor Laws and experience of working with different government agencies for labor law compliance
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, human resources/human capital or related field preferred.
  • Experience in working with overseas stakeholders and onsite team leaders.
  • Must possess strong business partnering and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Driven self-starter who can deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment is essential.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Possess good judgement and understand when to escalate matters as necessary.
  • Experience working with diverse international teams
  • Excellent organization skills and time management skills - ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimum direction.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and database skills.
