We are looking for a Senior Associate that helps clients fulfill complex financial reporting and tax requirements by combining technical expertise, mastery of sophisticated valuation methodologies, industry knowledge, objectivity and independence. We closely monitor the regulatory landscape and are deeply involved in the development of valuation industry standards and best practices that impact our clients.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Performing valuation analysis for a wide range of private and public corporate clients.
  • Understanding the client’s business model and strategy, as well as the industry challenges.
  • Interviewing clients to gather data and information pertinent to the engagement.
  • Analysing financial statements and business plans.
  • Selecting and applying the most appropriate valuation approaches depending on the purpose of the valuation and the context.
  • Preparing and presenting the results of the analysis in a clear, concise and argued manner.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff for analyses, reports, and presentations.
  • Building client relationships and acting as a direct contact with current and prospective clients.
  • Drafting proposals, presentations and publications communicated to current and prospective clients.

Essential traits:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting or Finance), Management (with a concentration in Accounting or Finance) or MBA from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Advisory Firm specializing in the valuation of companies, intangible assets, financial assets and liabilities, with experience in constructing and reviewing valuation models and other financial and statistical models including: DCF, income method, comparable company and transaction methods, excess earning method

  • Computer proficiency and ability to maximize applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to master new tasks and industries quickly
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and strong personal integrity
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment
  • Commitment to obtaining outstanding results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that help represent diverse communities
  • Experience working with diverse teams
