Kroll Business Services — one of the highest-performing business units at Kroll — is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Quality Assurance to lead our segment-wide QA strategy.
This role owns the definition, implementation, and enforcement of quality standards across all functional areas, ensuring every deliverable — from data operations and dashboards to platforms and infrastructure — meets rigorous quality expectations before release.
You will report directly to the CIO and operate at the heart of a high-volume, production-oriented environment. Your mandate: build a distributed QA model with embedded leadership in every key function, modernize QA with automation and AI technologies, and raise the quality maturity across the segment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and own a unified QA governance framework for Kroll Business Services
Build and lead a distributed quality model with embedded QA leads in key delivery areas (e.g., development, cloud, data, client platforms)
Define QA review standards for all major output types, including reports, dashboards, data pipelines, automations, platforms, and stakeholder-facing content
Audit and revise current QA processes and SOPs to improve consistency, accuracy, and auditability
Integrate quality assurance into CI/CD pipelines and data workflows, leveraging test automation and validation at every stage
Promote a segment-wide QA-first culture — ensure quality is a gate for all deliverables, not a post-delivery fix
Work directly with U.S.-based teams and stakeholders; role requires full availability during U.S. Eastern Time business hours
Identify and adopt modern QA tools and AI-powered platforms to accelerate testing, validation, and risk detection
Operate as a thought leader on QA practices internally and externally
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in quality assurance, delivery governance, or operational oversight
Proven leadership managing QA professionals and delivery teams based in the United States
Demonstrated experience working closely with U.S.-based stakeholders in fast-paced, production-driven environments
Deep knowledge of QA frameworks, governance models, and test automation strategies
Experience integrating QA into CI/CD pipelines and data operations (ETL/ELT, schema validation, data quality monitoring)
Familiarity with shift-left and shift-right testing practices in Agile/DevOps contexts
Strong organizational leadership skills with a proven track record of driving accountability across matrixed teams
Assertive and structured communicator — able to articulate quality standards and drive team adoption
Available full-time during U.S. Eastern Time zone hours
Preferred Qualifications
Experience deploying or managing AI-enabled QA platforms or ML-driven testing solutions (e.g., intelligent test generation, anomaly detection, test optimization)
Exposure to QA innovation tools such as Testim, mabl, Functionize, GitHub Copilot, or other AI-enhanced validation platforms
Recognized as a QA thought leader — contributor to best practice communities, internal transformation initiatives, or industry forums
Familiarity with tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Postman, dbt, Snowflake, Jira, Tableau, Jenkins, and cloud-native test automation frameworks
Work Environment
This is a remote position. Candidates must be available and working during standard U.S. Eastern Time business hours. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings, strategic planning, or reviews. The role interfaces with both global and U.S. delivery teams in a high-output, production-driven setting.
