The position will be part of Kroll’s Energy and Infrastructure team based in Mexico City. Senior Analysts in our fast-paced group play a key role in the execution and coordination of engagements, including financial analysis, valuation, market research, benchmarking, M&A support, financial due diligence, financial audits and broader consulting services for companies in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
As a Senior Analyst, you will contribute to high-impact engagements for globally active organizations, supporting critical valuation, transaction and advisory decisions that shape investment outcomes across multiple jurisdictions. The role offers meaningful and early exposure to global clients and cross-border projects, allowing you to develop a strong international perspective while working on sophisticated, real-world business challenges.
You will assume ownership of key project workstreams and collaborate closely with senior professionals and multidisciplinary teams, gaining visibility and responsibility from an early stage. Our Energy and Infrastructure practice delivers high-quality financial advisory and consulting services to support strategic decision-making, financial reporting and investment analysis. As a Senior Analyst, you will take on greater responsibility in project execution, workstream ownership and team coordination, while gaining significant exposure to clients and senior stakeholders.
Day to day activities:
Senior Analysts are responsible for executing and coordinating multiple workstreams across engagements, including:
Conducting market studies and industry research across energy and infrastructure sectors.
Performing complex financial analysis and business valuations.
Leading and reviewing benchmarking analyses across companies, projects and markets.
Supporting and executing M&A processes, including financial modeling and transaction support.
Conducting financial audits, including Joint Venture (JV) audits.
Performing financial due diligence on potential investments or transactions.
Supporting business plan design and strategic advisory projects.
Additional responsibilities include:
Taking ownership of specific project workstreams and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.
Analyzing large datasets and synthetizing findings into clear, actionable insights.
Reviewing supporting documentation, such as invoices, contracts and financial records.
Analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial planning documents.
Conducting research on market conditions and regulatory environments.
Participating actively in client meetings and leading portions of discussions when required.
Executing risk assessment and analytical testing with limited supervision.
Preparing and reviewing high-quality deliverables, including reports, presentations and client materials.
Coordinating and reviewing junior team members across different workstreams.
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including financial and technical experts.
Essential Traits:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering or related fields.
Strong academic performance (GPA 85+).
2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in financial advisory, consulting, valuation, audit or related fields.
Strong interest in energy and infrastructure sectors.
Advanced knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently with a high level of accountability and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (advanced level required).
Strong writing skills with ability to produce high quality client-ready materials.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Willingness to travel as required.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in energy, infrastructure or related sectors.
Strong experience in financial modeling and valuation methodologies.
Experience supporting M&A transactions or due diligence processes.
Solid understanding of accounting procedures and financial processes.
Programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA, or similar) are a plus.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior team members.
